I got a traffic ticket two months ago in Los angeles . I went in to pay it ( almost two months after I got it) and they said I have to come back on the very last day of the deadline (2 days) and they would give me a note that I tried to take care of it before the deadline and then I would have to call back every week to see if it was filed and that it could take a week or sixth months they didn't know. calling in every week for months until they finally have the ticket on file sounds ridicules to me. is there anyway to void the ticket, I had a deadline set a full two months after the ticket was issued but they get to take as long as they want? and then it is my responsibility to call every week for months to see if the paper work finally went through, that really is terrible. Can this be right? There must be some way of voiding it, or something I can do. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
