Last week, I get home and receive a mail from a Traffic office. I curiosly open it up since I know I have not received any type of tickets lately. Once I open it... sure enough there was my SUV on the picture running a red light! It looks like the SUV was the first painted line at .026 second RED, and more than half way through the intersection at 1.4 seconds RED @26mph. There is a fairly good photo of the driver which can clearly indicate it is NOT me (because of facial features or what not), but is also blurry enough which can make it pretty hard to distinguish between many of my bald headed friends.

Now my questions is, how do I respond to this notice? I have 3 boxes on the notice stating (1) Vehicle was sold to this driver below (and it asks for drivers information, license, etc (2) I am the driver of the vehicle (also asks for driver information, etc (3) The driver of of this vehicle is (asks you again to get the drivers information).

Now I'm one of those guys who let's pretty much EVERYBODY drive my vehicle around when they need to haul stuff in and around town. Friends of mine usually asks for the key and I throw it right over just making sure "You fill up the gas". I rarely drive the SUV since gas is a killer and I commute with my motorcycle. So as far as anybody would know, it could be a friends, friend, friend that was driving my SUV (Though I have a general idea who it is). Now HOW should I respond to this notice?? It is obviously NOT me and I really DON'T want to do any type of finger pointing. Do I have a right not to point out who the driver was? Can I just write a letter stating I am clearly not the driver and cannot identify the driver driving my car? I'd appreciate any tips and suggestions. THANKS!
