Small claims: after the judgement
I posted here about a year ago about sueing an ex-friend who bought my b18c1 and never paid me. Well I finally went through to sue him and I won (he didn't show up in court). I am now waiting 30 days for him to see if he will appeal (I doubt it, he's not doing anything about this).
Anyway, I was wondering if any of you guys went to small claims court and won. What did you do to collect your judgement? The few options I know I can do are:
-Put a lien on his paycheck
-Take away property like $ in bank account, a car, or even his PS2
-Get a collection agency on his ass
What else can I do? A collection agency according to the court can be costly (up to half the judgement or more). I think he has little to no assets as he is a deadbeat... selling everything he has to get around and keeps going from job to job (he has a bad attitude and gets fired or quits quite often).
Any advice is helpful. Oh yea, don't think I'm too hard on him, I've given him plenty of chances to pay me and he still hasn't come through. I was finally sick of everything and used this as a last resort.
