Alright, I'm from VA but I believe in this scenario it should serve no different in any state so here goes.
A ford probe and I come to a complete stop, i knew this was illegal but it was a reasonable back road where no one could have gotten hurt, after we pull off from a dead stop we get going pretty fast about 60 or so in a 45 mph zone but no police officers are around. After this I go back into the town I came from and a lady pulls up beside me while i'm talking with some people and says, "I seen you going up and down the road, I've called the police and the next time i see you doing it i'm going to slit your tires and make sure u don't again." So I go home, and get a call from a police officer wanting to talk to my mom because i'm still 17. I act stupid and say "I was just passing a guy who was going under 45 on a broken line (which there was a break)" so he says "Big mistake, if you don't tell me the truth about this i'm going to have to charge you, unless your mother does something about this. And believe me I will make it a personal matter to make sure you don't get your license back until your 21." I'm like well she'll call you she's not home right now. I have a few questions... I was not caught in the act by a police officer and they cannot prove since they didn't have a radar that was going faster than 45 just by what the woman says right? Could this be considered harassment or entrapment?... i hardly think me telling him the truth would get me out of the mess, more less put me in futher.
