I have a modified civic here in so-cal. But i recently got a fix it ticket for my car. the police officer basiclly said everything on my car isn't legal. But, heres the thing, my car (and my driver license) are out of state (PA). but, i'm stationed in cali. In pa, my car is compltly street legal. But, the cop says it doesn't matter, he said, and these are his words, "If your car is in this state, regardless of where it's registered, i got by cali car laws, not my own state. And being in the milatry doesn't make you excempted" He also gave me a ticket for not having a smog sticker on my car, even though i don't have cali plates. But, what this web site says, i shouldn't have to get smogged.

I still have to go to court, even though now my car isn't in the state anymore. I shipped in back home to PA. So, my questions are, did the cop have to right to give me that fix it ticket, and, what fines might i face, even though acourting to what the wbe site states.
