Sgt. Grant please help
Earlier today my mother was arrested for driving on expired tags.
She has been unable to afford paying for tags since 2002-these tags were valid.

When she was arrested the officer searched her, and the car. He said that her driver's license was invalid, though it says "Expires: 12-30-05" her insurance IS valid, but again her tags are still invalid.

The car was towed, and impounded she was released with a court date.

At the court date, what will/may happen? We're pulling every cent possible to get the car out, and the tags up to date asap, what do we need to do to avoid jail time altogether if it's even possible in this case? How much in fines from the courts will it be?

Her criminal record is absolutely spotless. Her driving record has 1 case, she turned into a truck. The police weren't notified, the insurance took care of everything. She is 38, female.

The codes she was arrested for(and their descriptions are below)
4462(b) CVC - False tags
4000(a) CVC - Exp. Reg. 6/01
12951(a) CVC - Driver's license in posession
