didnt know you were considering getting rid of it?
i'm always down if my job allows, we just need to arrange some kind of repetitive event on a weekday night (like the site i used to run had). that way it grows popularity and traffic. |

I ran norcalimports with a buddy of mine. It was all great times.
It went for a few years, but after running our show team, and opening a shop things got more tricky. Because of our work schedules and 'creative' differences we split paths. I left the team to pursue something else and sold my show car. I think the URL now belongs to another friend, but he hasnt done anything with it. Import Motion 2004 was our first big show. I had my friend Sara Brinsfield in our booth. She was on the cover of that months Import Tuner mag. We felt like hot shots getting all the attention, and it brought alot of members to our site. *sighs* the good old days. seemed like just yesterday we were setting everything up before the show opened... I remember doing some shows.. I got tired of it and manning the booth was too much of a pain in the ass. I'd like to go out and take pics. One of our main banners got stolen and that pissed me off. A lot of guys left SRO to start their own thing. Jacob has his drift site, you had yours. jsjs brothers started theirs. I remember Jacob hella hated Sarah brinsfield for some reason, and I remember Sarah was all over Paris

i made that last post on my lunch break, now that im home, i was looking thru some old photos, we did lots of shows.
shows in general can be a pain in the ass. the roll in, the wild night before parties, and the set up are the fun part. cars will always be a hobbie of mine, but i'm alot less involved now. Last edited by DiaVolo; 05-30-2008 at 06:31 PM. |

yea, those were fun times. not sure if you have done a San Mateo show lately? They require you to use a union laborer at $75 / hour. You can't use a cart to haul anythign in, you have to hire a laborer to do it. It's really f@#3in stupid how they rape you on setup. I'd get a free booth then have to pay some fool to setup my stuff.
