Okay - I've been on these forums for a while but usually do not post. I've been a 'ford' guy my whole life and about a year and a half ago traded in my 2002 Lightning for a Mitsu Evo (doing much research I needed a 5 passenger car).

A few mods later and a lot of computer tuning (on my own) later - I've got the car set - until I finally up the boost in the next week or two.

Bottom line - I've lined up again 2 of my previous brethren in the past month. First was a 2003 Cobra. We went from a roll from about 20 - he jumped and I played catch up. I just started pulling up on him when we had to slow to a red light. At the signal we quickly talked and I told him he didn't have a chance from a start...I reved up to my 5K launch limiter (2 step) and the light changed and before he could even move - I had 5 cars on him. From that point on - there was NO chance he was going to do anything. We got to the next light and he was trippin. He (AND I) never thought a 2liter turbo'd car could jump and pull on a 2003 Ford Cobra. We rolled again - and this time - with both of us jumping at the same time - I was pulling on him (up to about 80mph before we had to slow down).

Forward to about 3 weeks later (last week). I find another Cobra (this time a 2004). The guy has exhaust and sounds sweet...except he's gotta tude. I hate guys with attitude...didn't want to talk nothing...he rolls on me - and I'm having trouble catching him...he's faster than the previous cobra...we get to a light - I look over - he's not even looking. I ask if he wants to run 'em. He still doesn't look. I rev up...he revs up...and I know it's going to be tight...boom - I lower the hammer...and again - I'm jumping off the light (these evo's are killers on the street). I'm taking off and he's PISSED...I see him ticked...I had to be mean and I waived out the window to him as I kept pulling on him. LOL

I gotta say - I love Fords...cobras and lightnings...but I couldn't be happier with what this Evo has done...and how well it responds to mods.
