We found a local car group down here in dallas that had the nutz to go off and tell us that their cars are faster than bikes. I thought they were joking for a while, but they actually kept it up and invited us to a dragstrip. One guy even offered to pay my tech and gas just to ensure i was there. This may be a little bit too much to read for some, but its worth it and i had a hell of alot of fun shuttin these tools up. Theres a video of the run also.

These guys' crew name is "Buxracing". Apparently because they used to hang out in front of a Starbucks coffee shop, but they got kicked outta that spot for some reason. They have a website and forum, and the forum is where this all started. Theres 4 or 5 guys in the crew im guessing, ive only met one, and only 4 other people post much on their forum. Mostly late teen early 20 guys. Here we go.

A little background:

"Grapeape": Has a late model midnight blue Z28. has some decent mods but i cant exactly remember what they were. i know he has some suspension work done, runs on slicks, stalls at 3500, and sprays a 100 shot. its been cammed also.

This guy is the one who actually raced. More info later. he was owned.

"SlowTA": Has a late model red T/A. Dont know what he has done to his car but apparently he's faster than grapeape. He talked alota shit, said we better not puss out and show up at the track, but when the time came, he was nowhere to be found. owned.

"Importkiller": I dont know anything about this guy. talked shit on the forum but never put his money where his mouth is when the time came. He also, was owned.

Bikes dont count b/c they are cheap. Wow your a bad ass you went 11's on a bike. Lets look at it like this I take may car into the 11's you take your bike into the 11's who gets more respect? You bike is nothing like i said it doesnt count.

respect? respect from who? a bunch of who think theyre the cause they have a halfway fast car? i just wanna have some fun... i dont give a about what other people think about my bike. i bought the bike for me, not to pose in parking lots jerkin my dick. i didnt even buy my bike to race in straight lines with. i bought it to have fun scrapin pegs and draggin knees in the corners. so this guy derick bought a bike to go race people on weekend nights? i bought my bike for different reasons. i enjoy good copmetition, knowing the fact that someone is talkin about somthin they dont own or cant do, or if theyre actually tellin the truth. why cant you just take it at that? if youre tellin the truth and have a fast car, then lets go. if you win, you win. and if you beat a bike, i would think that would stick out in your adolescent mind as something you can brag to your highschool friends about.

man i couldn't really care less if i ran my bike against you and won or i lost. what i do care about is shuttin the fuck up some tool who thinks he's the shit. if i lose to a cage fair and square, so be it. i didnt buy my bike to go race cars and shit. but ill go outta my way once in a while if i think someone is fuckin me over. i dunno why im really wastin my time with this. win or lose i dont really give a shit. all i care about is findin out whether yall are bullshittin or not. everything ive heard so far from other people is yall are bullshit. we'll see on friday i guess.

And then some other tool from buxracing posted this, which sent me over the edge almost, it captures the whole mentality of these tools:

like what's his name said earlier, it's about looking cool at the track, not what's faster. you'll get no respect at the track with a bike. we'll see who's cooler when you wreck and get hurt anyway.

Back and forth we went for a week or so, and Friday comes. We told the guys from Bux that we might get to the track a little late, around 11pm, but since the track closes at 3am, they really didnt have any reason to leave. We get to the track and only grapeape is there. Well, he's the only one that faced up with us. SlowTA was there, but he never spoke up, and left once we got there. Yes, he talked all the shit about walking our bikes and turned tail and left once he saw we were there. Well my buddy dusty and grapeape line up and run. dusty cuts a 7.14 in the 1/8th, and grapeshit runs an 8.34. dusty beat him by over a second. IN THE 1/8th. Now, dusty has a 954, and somewhere along the line grapeape said he told me that he knew he would get beat by a liter bike. Whatever. Either way, we have a rider who runs 7.20s on a stock 600cc bike. Also, every bike we had there was faster than grapeape.

Now 8.20s is actually respectable for a car. But i guess it all went to their heads and they talked shit to the wrong people. Ever since that friday night 2 weeks ago, they havent posted shit on their forum. Grapeape admitted defeat, but once again tries to defend himself with the "im actually faster than that" and "just wait till i get bla bla bla done to my car".

It was a good time. Not too often i get to do this but it was fun.
