hey i got a question. my friend has a 1986 300zx t top that he doesnt want anymore. it still runs it just needs a new battery and a new water pump but its still in pretty good condition

he said he would sell it to me for 1000.....and that he just wants to get rid of it, he said i can take it right now and pay him like 20 bucks a month for how ever many years it takes me to pay it off haha

but my question is this


i wanna rebuild it from the ground up......either get a rebuilt tranny or get the tranny rebuilt....and rebuild the motor at my house and all that stuff.

but would it even be worth my money to build up this car?

and also i was wondering is there any way to convert the digital gauge face into one of the regular ones? cuz i really dont like the whole digital thing

anyways if any of you have any tips on whether or not i just attempt this project let me know. i mean i dont know much about the potential of these cars but i was thinking of making it into a drift car or just a cool lookin show car with some power
