so now i'm back in the affordable import scene and here's my situation.
i wrecked my car. my older brother has a 93 accord DX two door that basically has gone to shit except for the frame and body. he did a half assed motor swap and everything went to hell, so it sits around. he gave the car to me when the dui happened, and now i have a project car. so i guess what i'm looking for is someone who is wanting to help me with my project car as i am not a mechanic. the H22 swap would by far be the easiest but i am open to ideas since i got 20k from the insurance company, and the car was free. i only want to spend about 5-7k absolute max on this car since my insurance is going to be through the roof. anyone ever put a rotory motor in one of these? too difficult cause the Rx-7 is rear wheel drive. i also heard that edelbrock or someone was building whole, brand new crate motors. would that be a better idea since i may want to put in a 40-50 shot of direct port nitrous in the car for kicks? i'm open to ideas guys, JZ motors, that CRV motor i heard had a lot of torque when you put it in the lil cars... whatever. reliability is key, which yes, i understand is a contradiction to the nitrous, so don't flame as i remember everyone doing to every post on here. i'm looking to be productive, bashers stay away.
yes, i know that this car is not as flexible or approptiate for fixing up as my 93 integra ls with one of the most popular engines ever in it, but help me out.
