hi, my girlfriend drives a 97 paseo convert...the head gasket was seeping and we didnt know until it ran out of oil...she said she checked it every week........anyway, because its a 97 it uses the dis setup on the 5efe versus the distributor. all i can find for motors are ones with distributors...youre probly wondering why a new motor, well because of the no oil theres metal shavings in the oil pan, i dont have the money to have the block bored and bigger pistons put in and ontop of that i dont drive the car, she just does and she likes the 35 mpg it gets and its "cute" according to her and her friends. can i use an older motor and swap the dis set up onto it or do i have to find one with dis on it already...i know the heads are swappable but with dis it has all those god damn sensors on it, cam position crank position sensor etc, a motor with a distributor doesnt have any of those.
