I recently got in an accident and my 2001 jeep GC was totalled

i called up my uncle who owns a used car dealership and he said he could hook me up with a 1997 cobra he has on the lot
the sticker on it is 7000 but hell sell it to me for cheaper, but im not sure how much cheaper

the only thing i know about it is that its got a flowmaster
it probably has some other mods but im not sure

my question is this: would this be a good buy?
i plan on saving a couple grand from the insurance money for upgrades come springtime.
any comments on the 97?

edit: i talked to my uncle and its not a cobra
its actually a 96 GT
flowmaster exhaust, leather seats, 420watt sound system

only downside-- automatic

so basically

i can buy this car for close to what he paid for it which will be like under 6 grand
or i can drive south of boston and find a 97-98 with a 5-speed for 7-9grand
do u think its worth the extra $ for the 5-speed?
or based on my use of it(aka, not racing apps) would i be better off taking the deal on the auto.
