I NEED HELP QUICKLY....please...about CRX
My CRX is in the shop right now. I have the choice to get a B16A put in it, but Mr. Ha (the mechanic) needs my dad's approval. And since when you do a swap, you have to get it cleared by the state referee, my dad thinks its totally illegal. So tomorrow, my dad has to call him with a decision. My car is an '89 and JDM B16A SIR I's start at '89 until '91. So my question is:

What will it take to make a JDM B16A1 pass smog and pass the state referee's requirements in a CRX?


I've heard stuff like "as long as the motors newer or the same year of the car, it'll pass", or "use the '90-'93 integra ECU". Can someone please tell me what i can do. Any help is appreciated. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, i just need some quick help, just this one time.
