HUBINETTE EYES REPEAT AT INFINEON RACEWAY

Center Line, Mich. - To say that Mopar's Samuel Hubinette is eyeing a repeat in this weekend's Need For Speed Underground Formula D Series event is an understatement-probably the understatement of the year, if you're in Hubinette's shoes. The Mopar SRT10 Dodge Viper team is looking to capture the series points lead, and with only three events left to do so, Hubinette and company have their A-game ready to roll at Infineon Raceway this weekend.

"Taking over the points lead is definitely our goal for the event, "Hubinette said. "When you look at the overall picture, winning the series points championship is what everyone wants to achieve. In order to get where we'd like to be, we're going to have to perform as perfectly as possible at Infineon this weekend. We know that a win will put us in the lead, and that is ultimately what we're after."

"The Crazy Swede" will look to return to his winning ways in the heart of California wine country, as the team is seeking a repeat of its 2004 event sweep at the Northern California facility. Hubinette is also looking forward to returning to the drifting scene of the West Coast, as he enjoys the fan support that he and his fellow drifters find there.

"We're looking forward to competing at Infineon Raceway. It's always great to drift in California, as there are so many fans that come out to watch the events," Hubinette said. "We were able to pick up a victory at Sonoma last year, and that is one of our objectives for this year's event. This will be a great event for both the competitors and the fans."

Practice for the Drift Infineon event will take place on Friday, July 8. The fourth round of the Need For Speed Underground Formula D Championship chase will commence on Saturday, July 9. Hubinette and the Mopar SRT10 Dodge Viper team will enter the event ranked second in the series point standings.

The Mopar SRT10 Dodge Viper that Hubinette pilots in the Need For Speed Underground Formula D Championship is maintained by DC Performance and Archer Racing. Hubinette's efforts are also supported by Yokohama Tires.
