I beat a Z06 C6 with bolt-ons simply because the idiot stalled it out on the line twice in a row. We were racing best 2-of-3, he wanted a roll, I knew he's a shitty driver so I got us to go from a dig, he stalled, took 3-4 seconds just cranking the car back up, I run in the 14's usually, we were going about a quarter mile, so he just couldn't catch back up.

And also, mis-shifts and with really fast cars, not knowing how to get a good launch (also true for FF and AWD) can cause a loss.

Thus, that "simple" logic isn't always true.
