Now as for drifting as a racing technique well they use it in WRC to keep moment threw the corners and the same with dirt track and short track off-road racing all of witch don't have to worry to much about tire weir so in some cases it can be used but in most probably not and formal D is more about show not speed I don't think any will argue with you their .
