I didnt want to post this in the kill section becase if its normal then its no big deal

Ok before I left the states I bought an 96 Dakota with a V8 well when I was out for the test drive a mustang pulls up and revs well the roads pretty clear so I rev back ,and of we go well I ate the mustang alive I was in totally shock! He pulls up and give me a thumbs up and off he goes, Not positive what the year was but it was a newer model looked like my friends 2000. Well that got me thinking so I raced my vette and it beat that to now the truck is supposed to be stock. So the question is. Is this normal for these trucks.
