OK kids. Read this before posting a kill.
A post like this once stood proudly at the top of the kill section, warning all the newbies what they're in for. Due to recent activity...this post returns.
You just registered here on SRO? Good. Great. Grand! Glad to have you. If you'd like your stay here to be pleasant, if I were you, I would take a look at some of the past threads posted here in the kill section. But just in case you don't want to do that and are just aching to tell us all of your exploits, maybe read a hypothetical situation first.
So you're 19 and your parents finally handed down that Accord to you. You've bolted on an intake and exhaust, slapped some stickers on the doors, and maybe even spent some serious coin on a sick ass adjustable APC wing. You went out and lined up next to the first car you could find...a 1978 Ford Fairmont with an old lady driving. Fuck it. A race is a race right? That green light hit, and you left her in the dust. Must've been at least 10 car lengths before you showed mercy on her and hit the hazards.
This event may have had you feeling 10 feet tall. Like you're on you're way to becoming the next Mario Andretti even. Maybe even your friends were impressed by this as well (to your face at least). All that said...it still does not warrant you coming on here on trying to wow us with your kill. You will not gain any cool points, street cred, or whatever the hell you're looking for by doing so. Keep this kill to yourself.
Here's the short version...
If you post a boring kill, you will be flamed. If you post a pointless kill, you will be flamed. And if you post something that is just total bullshit...you bet your ass you will be flamed.
You'll get butt hurt, repsond and tell people that they don't have to hate if they can't appreciate. They'll come back with even more flames. You'll flame back. And eventually your punk ass will get banned because one of the people you flamed will probably be a moderator here.
So just don't do it. You've got a 14 second car that can take down V6 Camaros and Mustangs all day? Great. That don't mean we need to hear about how fast (or slow, depending on the point of view) it is. There are people on this board who have been driving cars longer than you may have been alive. There are people on this board who have single digit cars. There are people on this board who have done real racing and/or have been or still are streetracers with a lot more kills and beats than you could ever imagine.
In other words...just sit back and take it in for a bit. Seems like every other new person wants to post a kill their very first day here. And just about every one of those kills is about as exciting to read as watching paint dry.
And if you want to flame me for being an elitist asshole or whatever you may be thinking...don't. Just fucking don't.
