Rear end of Mustang breaks lose, car loses control, hits tree. This is not a difficult situation to replicate. I'll leave you to reason why this happened, but it should be pretty obvious. Probably didn't happen if the car was already in motion, or going as fast as the other person said.

Why would the guy in the Honda just drive off, because he didn't think he could do anything? Surely if the Mustang was speeding "so fast" it would've been way ahead of him, which would have given him ample time to see this situation ahead, and possibly call the police or for help. Anyone in their right mind that wasn't doing anything illegal would have stayed back and helped.

Probably didn't want to get "ratted" out for racing is the ringing conclusion that's playing in my head.

I don't know specifics of the situation, but thats just what I'm seeing.
