Alright, I'm about to buy a car realy soon, and every male in my family either owns a garage or are just mechanics woking for one another. Anyways, one of them got a deal on an 03 BMW (i forget which series) and brought it over for me to check out. I don't know how he gets his prices, but he bargined the price down to 12 grand. The car is amazing inside and out, all and more of what you'd expect from a Beamer. Well I take the car out and drive it around for a little, and come to realize that its a tiptronic transmission. So of course, I slip it into tiptronics and check it out. I've never really liked these trannies, and now I'm undecided. The BMW had a really really nice pickup, even with the tiptronics going, it was just a really weird feel.. No clutch, you couldn't even hear a click or any sound when you shifted either. Does anyone on the site like tiptronics?
