That's ricer math, pal. Don't believe everything you read in a magazine. The stock ignition on a 5.0 will be fine. I ran the stock spark on my '88 (~300rwhp) and I'm sure Jon is still running his stocker ignition too.
Oh, and stay away from 4.10s. The reason 4.10s don't work in these cars is because the 1st gear is WAAAAY too short to get any use out of that torque. When I ran 4.10s w/ my T5, I'd come off of stoplights in 2nd gear because 1st would wind up so fast.
