Hi everybody. I have been looking around for advice on an engine swap that I am buying parts for, and I hope I can find some here. I bought a 1989 Mustang LX, the typical 4 banger, for $150. The body and interior are in excellent shape, and the underside had been undercoated every few years. The car is in good mechanical condition besides the engine, which is on its last legs with 268, 000 kilometres on the odometer. I have a 351 Windsor with only 95, 000 kilometres on it, and it is in excellent condition. I also have the attached transmission, and I think it is a C5. The engine is from a Ford Thunderbird, so I can get the mounts from it. I am told that I will need to buy a dual sump oil pan to clear the front crossmember, and new oil pickups and screens. Can anyone think of more parts I will need?
