Drifting Safety Tips

Alright, I thought this thread would be a good idea. So lets hear them. Please don't B.S. or chat in this thread, just straight up safety tips. Don't care if you read them in a magazine or if you've learned them from experience. Be safe guys.

Steve

P.S. Tip #1 Don't ever try anything remotely resembling car control on a trafficked road. Scout your locations before you start screwing around on them. The best driving times are between 2 and 5 am, on a weekday(not friday).
Tip #2 Drive your road at least ONCE before you start practicing. Keep an eye out for obstructions, road conditions, wildlife, etc.
Tip #3 Drive with the windows down, listen for other cars.
Tip #4 Buy a rollbar, and a helmet. I'm going to do this as soon as I finish the new car.
Tip #5 I really recommend getting some AutoX/track experience before practicing on your own. You'll save the money you spent in new car parts/medical bills/god knows what.

These tips work for plain old canyon carving/mountain passing too, so if you think you're exempt, please don't.
