No, you can't take the officer to civil court. Is this over a traffic citation?? If that's all it is, LET IT GO. Too many people try to sue over piddly shit. I can't count the number of hours I've had to take off work to go to court over traffic tickets.

How many more hours would you have to take off to persue the civil case? I think if you filed a civil case, the judge would throw it out in a second. (Then could the cop sue YOU for his lost wages??) Catch-22
