If your case is dismissed are you not thus proven to be innocent? Can't you therefore take the officer to a civil-court claiming lost wages in the guise of proving your innocence to a court of law during a working day?
I'm sure there is some legal way to recover lost time/money caused by a false accusation on the part of an officer of the law.
